Carrie’s Next Big Thing
Sex and the City have been well followed for quite some time now. Because of its popularity the series was adopted to become a movie. The story is based from the life of four independent women who became the best of friends. Though the series tackles womanhood, fashion became a major attraction for the audience. Carrie Bradshaw played by Sarah Jessica Parker has a character that is fashion forward. As the series became famous Sarah Jessica also gained the title of being a fashion icon. The series featured designer labels like Jimmy Choos and Christian Louboutins.
The trend of showing key fashion pieces still continued in the first movie. Different designer gowns were seen and the Vivienne Westwood’s bridal gown worn on the wedding day amazed everyone. The blue pair of Manolo Blahnik with silver buckle shoes also got attention. The brand even sold limited pieces of the shoe in the market. As the second movie instalment is about to be shown there are many speculation about the next plot moreover I am wondering. After being astonished by the gown and shoes, what will be the next big thing?

Sway and Swing with Fringe

While looking through pages of my fashion magazines I have observed that one look has seem to appear on many celebrities and fashion ads. Now I understand why. Fringes are one of the hottest trends nowadays. If you can’t picture what this is, fringes are like hanging threads, cords, or any strips that are attached ornamentally on a piece of cloth .This fad has been seen earlier in the 60’s and 70’s and it is making its way back. They are seen all over the runways for the fall and spring 2010 collection. It is a must have for this season. This style has covered all fashion items imaginable. They are seen in boots, jackets, bags, sandals, dresses, skirts, shirts, earrings, pendants, belts, scarf, etc. They are best seen in gray, black and white. Wearing this style can make you own that bohemian look. You can sway, swing and make others hypnotize by adding movement through your clothes by using fringe.
Time to Shine
After 5 years of not seeing each other we finally find time to meet up and organize a reunion. It is a good time to catch for the years that we’ve missed the company of one another. Though this event may be a stressor for me I still want to see my old pals. I want to put my best foot forward so that they will see how much I’ve grown as a person and how I managed to keep myself young and stylish.
I prepared myself ahead like having beauty and hair treatments in the spa and salons and of course the must do pampering for my nails, manicure and pedicure. After knowing the dressiness of the event, i think a little black dress was the safest to wear. I opted for a one shoulder, knee length form fitting dress which I accessorized with a fringe earrings and bracelet. A red peep toe heels added color and a shoulder bag completed my reunion look. Now I am confident and ready to mingle and bring back the old times.
